- The Unseen Passage of 150 words followed by 3-4 short questions (2 marks each) to test comprehension. 2 marks may allocate for providing a suitable heading.

- Informal Letter/ Application writing on a given topic (1 mark for address + 4 marks for content).
- Summary of lesson from Textbook (about 100 words).
- Writing a longer composition such as an essay, or speech or story read/ 10 LA 23 heard experienced about 200 words.
